The third destination of our day tour
Koi Kei Bakery was our third and final stop for our brief day tour in Macau (which is part of iVenture we availed). We got really excited about this because our tour guide provided enough hype for it. He told us that there would be free taste inside the pastry shop.Given that it was already past 12:00NN, we grabbed the opportunity to ease our hunger.

Truly, there were a lot of pastries to choose from, such as the famous Almond Cookies. On top of it all, you can taste almost all just before you buy (or even if you are not buying). In that way, you can ensure of the taste of the goods you'll be bringing back home.

At the time of our visit, the Autumn Festival was nearing. Hence, there was a collection of mooncakes offered in the shop. I tasted a few, and I would say they were awesome!

However, please take note that they operate on a cash basis only. So, prepare your money with you. Also, no need to worry about carrying HKD, they accept it with 1:1 ratio with their local currency of MOP.

Hitting two birds with one stone
The great thing about this particular pastry shop is its close proximity with an "ancient" temple known as A-Ma Temple. According to my quick search, this has been in here since 1500s. Plus, you can take some time to breathe in serenity, and maybe offer some gratitude to high up there.

Depending on your beliefs, you may participate in some of the activities within the temple to further deepen your mediation.

In our case, we didn't have much time to linger, since the tour guide started gathering us for our final stop in a restaurant nearby. To follow more of this story, you may check out this post - Exploring Places to Visit in Macau for 1 Day
