Pillows Hotel - A Highly Recommended Place to Stay in Cebu
After knowing that we will be traveling to Cebu from Bacolod via a bus and a RORO, we decided to get a good place to stay to rest even just for a day before we transfer to our booked hotel in Golden Valley (which is nearer to the place where we would be working). Unfortunately, things started to go haywire when everything didn't go as planned for our trip. Instead of leaving at about 5:00 pm we ended up starting traveling about 12:00 mn, and so when arrived here in Pillows Hotel, we just had less than 2 hours to sleep before proceeding with our check out.
The Location
Pillows Hotel is located near the Fuente Osmena Circle, which means that there are a lot of restaurants around. Since this is a busy area of Cebu City, there are a handful of ATMs and banks as well. Hence, you won't have any problems when you run out of cash. Convenience stores are also spread out across the vicinity, so everything will really be taken care of.

The Hotel
Pillows Hotel is modest yet highly adorable and considerably classy. Upon entering the hotel, you will see how neat things are. Really, I was deeply captivated by its simple beauty. Plus, the hotel staff are really friendly and accommodating.

The Room
The room that we got has a lot of free space adding to the level of comfort I felt. The interior is also very modern while retaining the apt simplicity. The pillows were definitely cuddly and the sheets were very comforting. Also, though it may not appear in the photos, there is an LED TV with which you can burn off some free time.
Also, just in case you are wondering, there is a free wi-fi for every guest here in Pillows, and during our stay, the internet speed was impressive.
The bed that we had was pretty spacious, it allows enough room to turn around when you start sleep-turning. The air-conditioning unit seems new, so you don't need to worry about the room temperature. If in case it becomes too cold, well the comforters may be enough to keep you warm and fuzzy.
The bathroom is also more than decent with its black finish. What's interesting is that I felt almost the same comfort as I feel when am in other expensive hotels here in Manila.
Surprisingly, Pillows Hotel has a fitness facility, which may be not too common for hotels here in Cebu (except of course the expensive ones). This is something I really appreciated because I had the opportunity to exercise.
The Breakfast
Aside from the fitness center, the dining area is also one of the things I love about Pillows Hotel. The interior is quite crafty and artsy making you feel light and free. Check out this photo below and see for yourself.
Isn't it relaxing? We can actually burn time just by sitting here and think about life. However, we couldn't because we needed to do some work.
Anyway, let me share with you the breakfast dishes we had across all the days we spent here in Pillows Hotel. Well, you might be surprised why there are a lot. Unexpectedly, we got turned off by the Golden Valley Hotel. The moment we saw the hotel and the room (and unconsciously compared it with Pillows) we immediately ought to transfer the very next day back to this wonderful place (even if it's farther from where we conducted work).
Our breakfast here in Pillows Hotel was very lovely due to the generosity of the serving. Also, there was an evident effort put on the dishes. This is why everything seemed so fine here in Pillows!

Given our wonderful experience here in Pillows Hotel, I am giving this place a two-thumbs up. It's actually my current top recommendation for a place to stay in Cebu. It's considerably affordable, and the room was pure awesome together with the fine breakfast that comes with it. The staff here in this hotel are also very much welcoming and friendly. The presence of a gym makes a good addition, so it really captured my heart.
